Every Impractical Jokers Special, Ranked

Beyond the regular seasons, Impractical Jokers has produced a surprisingly large number of specials, live events, and spinoffs. Some are essential viewing. Some are for completionists only. Here’s where each one sits.

Where to watch →

1. Practically Live — Essential

The live special is the best thing the show produced outside of its regular seasons. Filmed in front of a studio audience, it proves the format scales. The punishments are more elaborate, the energy is higher, and the whole thing feels like a proper event. Watch this regardless of where you are in the regular seasons.

2. British Invasion — Great

The UK crossover with the English pranksters The Complainers is a genuinely funny culture-clash episode. Watching the American jokers navigate British settings — and the British jokers struggle with American directness — works better than it should. A highlight for fans of both shows.

3. One Night Stand Up — Good

The standup special gives each joker time in front of an audience doing solo material. It’s revealing — you get a clear sense of who each person is as a comedian outside of the group dynamic. Joe and Sal are the standouts. Worth watching if you’re a fan of any of them individually.

4. Jokers’ Choice — For Fans

A clip compilation voted on by fans, packaged as a special. It’s essentially a highlights reel, which makes it a good entry point for new viewers and a nostalgia watch for existing fans. Not essential if you’ve seen the regular seasons.

5. Impractical Jokers: The Movie — Divisive

The feature film is strange. It’s built around a framing device involving a reunion concert with a real artist, which gives the whole thing an odd tone. The hidden camera segments are funny but feel thin stretched across a movie runtime. Worth watching for completionists; probably skip if you’re not already a fan.

6. NCAA March Madness specials — Event TV

There are several March Madness tie-in specials. They’re fun if you’re watching live during the tournament but don’t hold up as standalone viewing. Low priority unless you’re a basketball fan.

7. The Remaining Specials — For Completionists

The remaining specials — various holiday editions, countdown shows, and clip packages — range from decent to skippable. If you’ve loved the regular seasons and want more, they’re available. If you’re picking what to watch, prioritise the main seasons first.
